Green Diesel Engineering formed in early 2009 and was established to fill a void left in the diesel performance market by add-on boxes or roughly-developed programmers that don't truly take advantage of the performance and economy potential offered by diesel power systems.
Comprised of a team with numerous years experience working in the OEM diesel calibration field, Green Diesel Engineering believes that a diesel engine doesn't have to emit billowing clouds of smoky exhaust or rattle like a tractor to be fast or economical.
All model Jeeps receive EGR Delete as part of the tune

We HIGHLY recommend that ALL JK Wranglers & KJ Cherokees upgrade your turbo hoses to the Samco Silicone Turbo Hose. These are much more durable and long-lasting, especially with an upgraded ECU as your vehicle, will be running more boost.
We offer a slightly discounted rate for the hoses if you are buying them as a pack with the GDE flash. WH Grand Cherokee's have Silicone Turbo Hoses from factory, so do not need an upgrade.
Using the GDE unit to clear codes:
The GDE unit only clears engine related codes, not Body Control Module or Transmission Control Module codes - that has to be done by a dealer or through the use of generic diagnostics scan tools such as Scangauge2 or the dealership specific OBD3 and Wi-Tec software.
Tuning changes vary based on application. The goals remain the same; maximize fuel economy, improve drive ability and performance.
GDE Flashes suit the following vehicles:
Jeep KJ Cherokee 2.5 & 2.8 CRD (2002 - 2004)
Jeep KJ Cherokee 2.8 CRD (2005 - 2007)
Jeep KK Cherokee 2.8 CRD (2007 - 2010)
(For 2011, 2012 KK CRD's we offer an ECU West Bench Flash tune, please see our ECUWEST product in the performance section)
Jeep JK Wrangler 2.8 CRD (2007 - 2010)
Jeep JK Wrangler 2.8 CRD (2011 - current)
(For 2011 to current CRD JK's we also offer an in house Murchison ECU tune, please see our Murchison/ECUWEST product in the performance section)
Jeep WH Grand Cherokee 3.0 CRD (2005 - 2010) (100NM, 0.5 - 1.5KM per 100)
Jeep XH Commander 3.0 CRD (2006 - 2010)
KA Dodge Nitro 2.8 CRD (2008 - 2010)
It is important to know that the kit tunes the engine through the actual vehicle ECU. The GDE Flash Tune Kit is able to change the entire calibration and not just individual sensors.
Below list some of the parameters it can modify (based on application and software) to improve the engine efficiency:
• Fuel Rail Pressure
- Better Fuel delivery during higher boost loads raises pressure incrementally as boost increases to match injector pressure
- Increased Torque Delivery
• Boost Pressure
- Increased performance from fuel/air matched rising rates
- Less visible smoke
- Reduces fuel consumption
• Improved EGR system
- MAXIMIZES fuel economy
- MINIMIZES EGR hardware failures
- Eliminates soot in intake
• Injection Timing
- MAXIMIZES fuel economy
- Helps lower exhaust temps (Lower EGT)
• Pilot injection Timing/Quantity (on common rail engines)
- Maintain low engine noise
- Aids in reducing fuel consumption
• Governing systems
Enhance driveline stability
Better throttle tip-in response
Refined pedal mapping
If your vehicle has to go into the dealership to have factory software updates, you MUST flash the car back to its original tune file before dropping it off otherwise you will lose ALL interface with the GDE system and be up for another complete tune.
• Includes Flash Tool, OBD2 cable & USB to PC cable
• Shipping included Australia Wide
• Comes with 2 tunes and original saved on flash tool
(WH Grand Cherokee and Commander only come with 1 tune which includes EGR Delete and Swirl Motor Delete)
• DPF Deletes are available but not recommended due to emissions laws - and the fact that the world is getting hotter every year so we don't need to be adding to the bloody problem.
